Today’s paper is “ImageNet Classification with Deep Convolutional Neural Networks“, authored by Alex Krizhevsky, Ilya Sutskever, and Geoffrey E. Hinton (this year’s Nobel Prize winner). This article innovatively and efficiently applied convolutional neural networks to the field of image recognition, winning first place in the ILSVRC competition that year by a significant margin, and sparked the resurgence of neural networks and the wave of deep learning.
